The Body of Christ restoring Joy and Dignity at Christmas by empowering our communities.
You know the joy and excitement you feel while watching loved ones open a gift you have picked out for them? Join us in giving that joy as a gift to someone in our community.
The Christmas Village Toy Store provides a “hand up” for Pitt County families who want to purchase affordable new toys for their children at Christmas. Rather than simply giving a handout of toys to at-risk families, we believe in empowering families to purchase Christmas gifts for their own children.
Donated toys will be sold at deeply discounted prices. The funds generated will be reinvested back into the store, giving job opportunities to some of these same families to work in the store, while the training and experience they receive from being employed by the Christmas Store will expand their employable skills.

We need volunteers to serve at the Toy Collection Point drop-o s during worship services in the months of November and December. Youth and adult volunteers are also needed to serve in the Children’s Craft Room and Kidz Shoppe, assisting kids in purchasing presents, stocking shelves, and gift wrapping. Volunteers are also needed for work days at the toy store to assist with toy collection, store set up and decoration. We want to set a precedence by utilizing volunteers from the local community.
“I am purchasing toys and then you will sell them at the Christmas Village Toy Store?”
Yes, but they will be sold at a drastically reduced price (yardsale price). The proceeds from the Christmas Village Toy Store will be used to hire local (community) employees and give them some income for Christmas. They will be earning their income by working at the store. Skills used at the Christmas Village Toy Store can be used on their resume—they will actually be hired by the Toy Store.
“Who is selected to shop at the Christmas Village Toy Store?”
We are sending out invitations to the school system, local partners, organizations and ministries.
“Feel so blessed, never seen anything like this before - at a loss for words, I am so thankful.” Kimberly
“This is such a blessing as so often even though I work I can’t afford to provide Christmas for my kids. It is really hard to have a child go back to school after Christmas and when the teacher asks the class what they got for Christmas to have to say that they didn’t get anything. It is so wonderful for the churches and businesses to come together to do this.” Michele
“This is such a wonderful program. I am so very thankful to have this opportunity.” Shavonte
“The folks working in the wrapping room surely receive a blessing as well, as we get to witness first-hand the gratefulness and joy that the participants receive.” Sandy, Volunteer
